The first visiting meeting with social activists was held in Rostov to discuss restoration of mosaic panels.
The venue of the meeting was an underground passage at the intersection of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and Voroshilovsky Avenue. A representative of the design company, social activists, journalists and the Head of the Department of Highways and Traffic Management Denis Vodopyanov gathered there. Members of the public and the media were able to ask the design company all their questions.
The Department intends to solve two tasks with one stroke: to overhaul the passages to put them in order, and to preserve the mosaics.
A restoration expert Marina Yablonskaya believes that the restoration of mosaic panels is necessary only where they are affected by time.
Similar meetings will also take place in the other three passages with mosaics.
