KOSTYA ORIGINAL

Kostya Original, an author of the next work, describes his style as a combination of lettering, 3D graphics and various graphic devices, such as shadows and perspective. Together they create depth, add new shades of meaning to the picture and give it a finished look. Kostya’s artwork is based on 3D phrases or words, and this time he decided to devote his work to his favorite city.

The painting looks as if cut in stone: it looks like a basement that has dimensions, material qualities and depth, which you can practically touch. The color choice is not accidental – a combination of light-blue and pink looks like the sky above the Don River at the dawn. As to other shades, every football fan in the city knows that the yellow-and-blue (the colors of the local football team) are the strongest.

Kostya Original was born in Rostov-on-Don, grew up and spent most of his life here, he has warm memories of the city. The painter is eager to create more for his home city – and he encourages other local artists to do the same, so that one day Rostov could compete with Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and St Petersburg for a title of the street art capital. For the time being, the nearest goal is to make Rostov the main canvas of the South of Russia.
