Monument to Admiral F.F. Ushakov

The Russian Admiral Fedor Ushakov devoted all his life to the Navy. He brought innovations into sea fighting and also laid foundations for creating advanced equipment. His career and life as a seafarer began in these parts of the world, in the Don country. He attended the Naval Cadet Corps and served in the Azov Flotilla. And from there, he stepped into the great future and became a renowned military commander.

In 2001, a monument was installed on the Embankment of the Don River. A local sculptor Anatoly Sknarin was a success in creating an image of the noble person, who had done a lot for his Motherland. The monument is a bust of the Admiral installed on a cylindrical granite basement belted with a bronze wreath.
