On September 12, 2019, shortly before celebrations of the 270th anniversary of the Don capital, the tourist information center of Rostov-on-Don, together with the Department of Economics of Rostov-on-Don, organized a general sightseeing tour around the city for underage charges of the social rehabilitation center. The center’s main objectives are to prevent neglect and homelessness, to provide temporary residence, social assistance and rehabilitation for minors fr om 3 to 18 years old who are in a difficult situation, to provide social services. The tour was held for children aged 6 to 16. The route passed along Voroshilovsky and Budennovsky Avenues, along Bolshaya Sadovaya, Pushkinskaya Streets, the embankment and Theater Square. Excursionists learned a lot of interesting things about buildings constructed over a hundred years ago, about legendary figures who lived in Rostov or came here, about the origins of Rostov-on-Don, they saw places wh ere the Fortress of St. Dimitry of Rostov and the Temernik Custom House had been located. It was a bright and joyful day for the guys, full of discoveries and positive emotions!
