Carnival Procession to Take Place in Pushkinskaya Street on Rostov’s City Day

On the City’s Day, September 13, the carnival procession will start from the Dom Kino cinema and end in front of the Don State Public Library. A band of spoon players performing pieces of folk music will be in the center of the column, so will be artists of the Theater of Russian Traditions with a makeshift Russian stove. The procession will end with a festival of culture, Tribute to Rostov, with performances of creative bands and a ceremony of awarding recognition letters and honorary certificates. On September 14, festive concerts will be given in front of the Music Theater and Philharmonic Hall, involving the best performance groups. In Levoberezhny Park, they plan to have competitions and master classes in various sports, exhibition performances and an entertainment program on the park’s outdoor stage. On September 15, creative groups will perform in Pokrovsky and Sedov square gardens. And the festive events to celebrate the City Day will end on September 15 in the rotunda of May 1 Park with a dramatized ball, Historical Rostov.
